CHEYENNE, WYO –Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming has recently named two new members to its Board of Directors; Lynne Michelena of Buffalo and John Frome of Grover, Wyoming.
Lynne Michelena serves as the President of First Interstate Bank of Buffalo. Lynne is a Wyoming native who grew up in Cheyenne and graduated from Buffalo High School. She holds degrees in business and banking. Lynne and her husband, Kevin, are residents of Buffalo where they raised their two children and are now the proud grandparents of four grandchildren. She is actively involved in her community and church. She has been recognized as Businessperson of the Year and honored with the Wyoming Banker Award from the Wyoming Business Alliance.
With a lifelong commitment of service to Wyoming, Lynne shared that serving our state has always been important to her.
“I am proud to continue to serve the residents of Wyoming in this new capacity on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming Board of Directors,” said Michelena. “I join a talented group of individuals with a shared value of service to Wyoming.”
John Frome is retired businessman and rancher from Star Valley. Frome returned to his native Afton area after graduating from Utah State University with a degree in business. John continues to run his family ranch along with two of his children. He and wife, Kim, are both successful land appraisers and enjoy spending time with their five grown children and 13 grandchildren.
“After retiring from the appraisal business, I have time and would like to give something back to Wyoming,” John said. “This is a great opportunity to do that.”
Although Lynne and John are excited to join the board, BCBSWY leadership is even more excited to welcome their diverse experience.
“As an employer and a banker, Lynne understands the challenges and opportunities of the Wyoming economy and the needs of the business community,” said Diane Gore, President and CEO. “As a rancher and successful businessman, John, offers us a unique perspective. His lens into care delivery in a rural area will be of great value to us as we continue to advance the health care setting to ensure all members have access to quality care. Their unique backgrounds and expertise are a valuable addition to our Board.”
These individuals fill critical roles that are enriched through Wyoming experience, according to existing board members.
“Lynne Michelena and John Frome join a Wyoming resident-led Board of Directors, filling two vacancies following the retirements of Dr. Darryl D. Bindschadler and Dr. Thomas E. Spicer from the Board.” said Dave Bonner, Chair of the Board. “I am pleased to welcome both Lynne and John to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming, we are fortunate to have them join us.”
