TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Read the following terms and conditions (Terms) carefully before continuing.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By accessing, viewing, or using the material on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming (BCBSWY) Site, you indicate that you understand and intend these Terms to be the legal equivalent of a signed, written contract, and equally binding, and that you accept such and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree with the Terms, you are not granted permission to use the Site and should exit immediately.

Usernames and Passwords
Your username and password combination protects access to your personal information. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your username and password, and you are responsible for all activities resulting from their use, including any unauthorized use. We recommend you take appropriate safeguards including regularly changing your password, using a strong password that is difficult for others to guess (avoid birthdays, names and pet names), and using the Log Out button when you have finished your session or leave your computer. Make sure to also close your browser after logging out. If you forget your password, you will have the opportunity to reset it on the login page. BCBSWY WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR PASSWORD AND YOU SHOULD NEVER PROVIDE YOUR PASSWORD TO ANYONE.

If you suspect your password has been compromised, it is your responsibility to immediately contact Member Services at 800-442-2376.

Users’ Privacy
You are required to provide your e-mail address when registering for access to the Site. BCBSWY may use this e-mail address to contact you with information about your account and access to the Site.

While Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming is committed to protecting the privacy of its members and others, it is possible that any transmission of data on or through the Internet may be intercepted, monitored, or downloaded by an unauthorized third party.  Please be advised that the confidentiality of any communication or material transmitted to BCBSWY via this Site or electronic mail cannot be guaranteed, including without limitation personal information such as your name, address or Social Security number.  To the extent allowed by state and federal law, BCBSWY expressly disclaims any liability for any data transmitted by the user, intentionally or otherwise, over the Internet. The user assumes all risk for the sending of any information, by any means, intentional or otherwise, via the Internet. To ensure privacy and personalized attention for confidential matters, please contact BCBSWY by phone at 800-442-2376 or write us at PO Box 2266, Cheyenne, WY 82003.

While we make every attempt to protect the personal information that you share with us, it is important to realize that electronic mail is not secure against interception. You should never send electronic mail to BCBSWY containing personally identifiable information.  Unless BCBSWY obtains your express consent, BCBSWY will not use electronic mail to communicate any such information to you. Never provide your password in an e-mail. The message center allows registered members to securely ask questions and receive answers to questions containing sensitive information, and this feature should be used instead of electronic mail.

Privacy Statement
BCBSWY has a Privacy Statement disclosing what information we collect about visitors, how we use such information, the steps we take to secure such information, how you can view and correct such information, and how you can decline to have information about you collected or used. Click here to view the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference, as if set forth fully herein.

Security
BCBSWY has implemented technology and security policies, rules and measures to protect its members by using the most up-to-date Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology, the highest level of security on the Internet. The SSL protocol provides server authentication, data integrity, and privacy on the Web. SSL encrypts all transmitted information and also verifies the identity of the server to ensure that the original message arrives safely at its destination. We have obtained a digital certificate from Verisign, Inc., a leading provider of Internet trust services. When you enter the Site, an image of a closed lock or a solid key should appear to the right of the search bar. If you click on this image, a small pop-up window displaying Site-security information will appear. This certificate guarantees that your personal information is being transmitted in secure (encrypted) form to BCBSWY's server, and not to some unknown or unauthorized server.
