Telemedicine Update
To limit in-person contacts, BCBSWY will reimburse inpatient telemedicine encounters within the same facility. Effective December 1, 2020, BCBSWY will reimburse telemedicine visits for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

Claim Processing Update – Contraceptive Pills
Effective 12/1/20, BCBSWY will no longer reimburse HCPCS S4993 (Contraceptive Pills for Birth Control) on a medical claim. This code will only be reimbursed as a pharmacy benefit. If providing sample pills or offering on-hand stock as part of a grant, you should not expect reimbursement from BCBSWY. If this code is billed on a claim it will be denied as billed in error.
Holiday Hours
BCBSWY will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27, 2020.
