Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (typically in Computer Science). Commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of degree. One to four years of work experience (typically in data analysis). Preferred: Tableau, Cognos Reporting experience.

General Purpose

Provides support on matters relating to the planning, development and implementation of architectural data and analytical programs and projects on a corporate wide basis. This position is not limited to the implementation of any particular type of project or program based on a given department or division.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Works towards quality initiatives.
Coordinates Vendor communications & issues related to data architecture, data and data needs, processes, and analytics with vendors as required.
Performs analysis and research of various subjects as assigned by management.
Develops the data architecture, design, build, implementation and maintenance of various programs including data and data analytics strategies.
Participates in the integration of information technology systems.
Works directly with internal staff and external vendors on a range of activities as described above.
Helps with evaluating program results and communicates directly with internal staff and external vendors as needed.
Participates in management meetings as requested.
Provides support and training to internal staff in regards to newly implemented services and technologies.
Performs and assists with testing required to ensure successful implementation of corporate projects.
Assists with coordinating Intra-Department activities.
Assists with coordinating teams and work-groups to define, develop and implement enterprise wide programs and projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill & Ability

This position requires the ability to work autonomously on a wide range of complex tasks in various professional settings. This position requires a high level of verbal and written communication skill as well as a high degree of interpersonal skill. This position is required to conduct research and implement varying IT systems in conjunction with different programs and initiatives in order to implement corporate goals and plans.

Oral and Written Communication capabilities
Analytic & Data Architecture capabilities
Knowledge of the Wyoming Health Care environment
Knowledge of various Health Care Reform initiatives
General knowledge of the working areas within BCBSWY, specifically Membership & Billing preferred.

Education, Licensure, or Formal Training

Experience

One to four years of work experience (typically in data analysis).

Equipment & Environment

Material & Equipment Directly Used

Regular use of PC

Regular use of Microsoft Office Application with Microsoft Excel and Access experience preferred.

Regular use and design/build of Web Based Applications

Regular use and design/build of Access databases and Excel Macros

Working Environment / Physical Activities

Works in an open office environment

Travel may be required including the use of company automobiles. Must have a current, valid, driver’s license.

Public speaking may be required
