VISUAL UPDATE TO MEMBER ID CARDS: SUITCASE SYMBOL BEING PHASED OUT
What’s Changing?
The familiar ‘suitcase’ symbol used to indicate BlueCard program participation is being phased out from member ID cards, including the new WyoBlue cards.
Why This Matters
We’ve already received questions from providers noticing the absence of the suitcase icon on updated cards. While the visual cue is going away, member access to the BlueCard program remains unchanged.
What You Should Do
Please continue to verify member eligibility and benefits using your standard tools or by calling the number on the back of the member’s ID card. Claims should still be submitted as usual.
If you have any questions about this change, please reach out to the BCBSWY Provider Relations Team for assistance.
We appreciate your continued partnership and your support in helping our members feel informed and confident in their coverage.
