How Does the Business Transformation Affect Members?

BCBSWY remains committed to providing our members with the highest quality products and services at a competitive price and benefit level. Our goal is to offer you an easy to use website to find information about your claims, coverage, and more— all online, and at your fingertips.

You’ll see an easier to understand billing statement and EOB, the convenience of paying premiums online, and changes to your member ID number. These changes will take place over time and our business transformation will be fully implemented by 2019.

What You Can Look Forward To

Your Member Site — We are excited to unveil a new online member site you can access on your phone, tablet or other mobile device. You will be able to get your EOBs and benefit booklet electronically, see details about your plan, review claims, take a health assessment, rate your doctor, and more.  

Making Payments — If you purchase your own health insurance, you will have more options to make a payment, including paying online from your member account. Your new invoice will provide the details. Also, be sure to note the due date on your invoice so your payment is on time. It may be different than what you are used to.

ID Cards — You will receive new ID cards with a new ID number. Please be sure to show your new card to your doctors next time you get care.

Automated Phone System — When you call our number, please listen to the new options. Our goal is to enhance your overall member experience with as little wait time as possible.
