High School Diploma or G.E.D.   1-2 years office experience preferred.

General Purpose

To perform ongoing administrative tasks to maintain accurate information on the provider data base as well as create and maintain databases for various ongoing network projects to include credentialing and re-credentialing.  Coordinate provider contract and communications, mailings, and organize provider data for electronic and print publications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works towards quality initiatives.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the provider network.
  • Perform duties related to provider credentialing and re-credentialing.
  • Collect and prepare reporting requirements for accreditation purposes.
  • Prepare provider files for scanning and archiving.
  • Provider data audit and response.
  • Update and maintain provider data files on Provider Profiles.
  • Organize information and prepare new files for providers.
  • Alphabetically file completed files and assist in maintaining file organization.
  • Fax, copy, and prepare provider materials for contracting and education as needed.
  • Enter correspondence control information as required.
  • Assist in coordinating invitations, RSVP’s, materials for provider workshops.
  • Support effort for Electronic Claims filing and the use of Availity
  • Special projects as assigned.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned in support of Network Services staff activities.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill & Ability

Organizational Skills, clerical skills, PC (windows), Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Access, Power Point, telephone etiquette.

Reading and comprehensive skills with the ability to understand and verify documents related to credentialing and accreditation.

Education, Licensure, or Formal Training

High School Diploma or G.E.D.


1-2 years office experience preferred.

Material & Equipment Directly Used

PC, Telephone, photocopier, facsimile machine, scanning equipment.

Working Environment / Physical Activities

Works in an open office environment.

Access to Protected Health Information (PHI)

Access to PHI is limited to the attached.  Access is restricted because there is no job function requirement of responding to customer and provider inquiries relative to claims payments and inquiries.
