BCBSWY (or other Blue Plan) Member using Availity.com.
- Submit prior authorization requests using the authorization tool found under Patient Registration and keep track of requests and status of all authorizations in your organization using the Availity Authorization dashboard.

Availity Improved Security – Coming Soon!
Beginning soon, Availity will require 2-step authentication (also known as multi-factor authentication)
during select situations, such as logging in from a new device. Here’s what you can expect:
How does 2-step enrollment work?
During 2-step enrollment, you’ll specify a device on which to receive a six-digit code. Once you receive
your code, Availity Portal will prompt you to enter the code. Prior to setting up 2-step authentication,
primary admins will need to verify their identity through a one-time process.
Who needs to ID verify?
Only the primary administrator of each organization will be required to verify their identity by answering
basic questions through a credit-report-style quiz. All users must register for 2-step authentication.
Wyoming Kid Care CHIP
Reminder, effective October 1, 2020, BCBSWY will no longer administer the State of Wyoming’s Kid Care
CHIP program. Instead, the program will be merged into the Department of Health’s Medicaid program.
We want to extend our greatest appreciation to the many physicians, hospitals and health professionals
who have partnered with BCBSWY for so many years to provide important care to many of Wyoming’s

2018 Claims Filing – REMINDER
Please remember to submit any claims or claim adjustments with a DOS prior to 1/1/19 to BCBSWY prior
to 12/31/2020. If these claims are submitted electronically, they will be rejected for timely filing, however
we will accept these claims through the end of the 2020 if submitted on paper.
