BCBSWY Humira Update

Effective July 1, 2025, Hadlima, Simlandi, adalimumab-aaty, adalimumab-adaz will be the preferred biosimilar products on all BCBSWY formularies while Humira is being removed from all BCBSWY formularies.

BCBSWY confirmed patient copay assistance coupon cards are available to members on all four of the adalimumab biosimilars preferred by BCBSWY.

Your Humira patients were also sent adalimumab formulary change information in early May 2025.

Over the past two years, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved multiple biosimilar products for the reference brand name medication, Humira (adalimumab). Adalimumab is indicated to reduce signs and symptoms of various autoimmune disorders. These biosimilar agents are safe and cost-effective options for management of autoimmune disorders.

 WEBT Members Changing Plans

Effective July 1, 2025, all Wyoming Educators’ Benefit Trust (WEBT) members will transition from the traditional BCBSWY Provider network to the Wyoming Total Choice network. All WEBT members will receive new identification cards.

Changes to the WEBT ID Card

  • PPO Indicator: ID cards will now display “PPO” to indicate network.
  • New Alpha Prefix: Member ID will now begin with the prefix YWY.
  • Out of Network Out-of-Pocket (OOP) Maximum: If members receive out-of-network care, Out of Network OOP Maximum may be higher.

It’s always important to check a patient’s insurance ID card during every visit to ensure accurate identification, maintain patient safety, comply with legal regulations, and prevent fraud. This is an important reminder if you have WEBT participating members. For questions regarding these changes please contact Provider Relations at 1-888-666-5188 or provider.relations@bcbswy.com.
