Authorizing an extension to an Inpatient Stay (Concurrent Review)

Reminder, you can now request additional inpatient days through the Availity provider portal, if the initial inpatient authorization was submitted through the portal. For detailed guidance on how to complete this request click here.

Helpful Hint: The From and To dates and the number of days associated with the stay must be updated.

Dry Needling Procedure Code Guidance

Effective 1/1/2021, using Not Otherwise Specified (NOS) or Not Otherwise Classified (NOC) codes for dry needling service will cause the entire claim to deny. If you are providing this service, the appropriate codes you should be using are 20560 or 20561.
