CHEYENNE – Jim Auge of Jackson has recently been named to the Board of Directors for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming.
“Jim brings a wealth of business experience and community involvement to this company,” said Rick Schum, President and CEO. “As an employer and a business owner, he understands the challenges and opportunities of the Wyoming economy and the needs of the business community. His knowledge and expertise will be a valuable addition to our Board and we are fortunate to have him join us.”
Auge is the Vice President and Co-Owner of Teton Motors, Inc. the only family-owned and full-service dealership in Jackson Hole. Teton Motors was founded by the Auge family and has served northwestern Wyoming for nearly 45 years.
“I’m looking forward to working with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming and serving on the board,” Auge said. “Like my business, BCBSWY is locally owned and operated, and dedicated to helping Wyoming employers and residents with their healthcare needs. I’m eager to join them in that process.”
A graduate of the University of Wyoming, Auge, and his wife Carolyn have lived in Jackson since 1991. He is actively involved in the local community and has held leadership roles in Rotary, the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce and is a past chairman of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. He also serves on the board of the Community Safety Network which supports lasting change in the lives of those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. In 2011, he was recognized as the Business Person of the Year by the Teton Board of Realtors and is a past president of the Wyoming Auto Dealers Association. He enjoys travel, spending time outdoors, and is an avid triathlete.
