We’re excited to announce that beginning January 1, 2027, BCBSWY will transition from Davis Vision to VSP, bringing enhanced vision benefits to our members.
This new partnership will expand access to a broader network of vision care providers while continuing to support the high-quality care our members expect. More details about benefits, provider access, and resources will be shared in the coming months.

Updated Maternity Coding Guidelines
Deliveries Expected Through Dec. 31, 2026
Providers should continue billing the appropriate global maternity code when they are responsible for the complete maternity package and the delivery is expected to occur in 2026.
Deliveries Expected On or After Jan. 1, 2027
Providers should not bill a global maternity code for deliveries expected in 2027. Instead, services must be billed separately using the applicable CPT codes for:
- Antepartum Care – Prenatal services provided during pregnancy
- Labor Management – Management and related labor services
- Delivery Care – Delivery procedure and associated services
- Postpartum Care – Care provided after delivery
This change aligns billing with the individual components of maternity care for deliveries expected in 2027 and beyond.
CarePath: What Providers Need to Know
BCBSWY recently launched a new Site of Care program called CarePath that is designed to support health care affordability and access across Wyoming. The program connects members with clinically appropriate care in cost-effective settings.
CarePath is a collection of programs that will continue to expand, but the inaugural collection includes Laboratory, Imaging, Musculoskeletal, and Medical Pharmacy.
BCBSWY remains committed to transparent communication and collaborative engagement with hospitals and provider partners throughout implementation. As part of this effort, hospitals will have opportunities to continue providing services through mutually agreed-upon case arrangements that support affordability while recognizing the vital role local hospitals play in Wyoming communities.
Updated Provider Manual Now Available
Members will continue to have access to hospital-based care when medically appropriate and aligned with individual clinical needs.

Provider Directory Validation Reminder
You can find the Provider Directory Validation guide under the Provider Resources section on the right rail of the website.
Providers can use the Directory Validation tool on the Availity Portal to find NPI and tax ID combinations.
