Coding Advice
- BCBSWY will deny procedures for which Team Surgery is not allowed when billed with modifier 66. For example, CPT 28285.
- BCBSWY will deny the procedure billed without modifier 66 when there exists a previously processed claim for the same procedure code with modifier 66 by any provider.
- BCBSWY will deny the procedure billed with modifier 66 when there exists a previously processed claim for the same procedure code without modifier 66 by any provider.
