Work Hours:

  • 40+ per week
  • Office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

High School diploma or equivalent.  Associates degree or commensurate experience preferred.  Educational discipline may vary, however, Business, Communications, Computer Science/Information Technology, Mathematics/Statistics preferable.  Paralegal or Legal Assistant background accepted.

No professional-level work experience required.  However one year of combined work experiences preferably in the field of healthcare and/or work experience in an office environment recommended.  Valid driver’s license required.

Computer Technology:
Personal computer (various levels of exposure to word processing, e-mailing, file formatting, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and/or other computer applications may be expected), calculator, fax machine, photocopier, telephone, and/or scanner.

Brief Description:

Professional Trainees are hired from various educational backgrounds for the purpose of establishing a pool of talent for developing future professional and/or management capability. As dictated by the needs of the company, duties of the Professional Trainee I may differ significantly and will focus on the activities of one or more department.


  • Understands the value of quality initiatives.
  • Develops knowledge, skill and ability in order to learn technical requirements essential to completion of departmental job responsibilities
  • Conducts research as requested by department head or as necessary in order to learn about the department, company, providers, customers, and product line
  • Applies newly acquired knowledge and concepts to daily work activities
  • Completes special projects and/or assignments in a timely manner
  • Under general guidance of department head, may participate in the daily operation of the assigned department(s)
  • May function as member of various work groups and/or special committees
  • As directed by department head, may assist with specified duties associated with daily coordination of assigned department(s)
  • May be required to make presentations to groups
  • May compile reports, spreadsheets, and written and/or verbal communication as requested
  • Must be committed to working with diverse populations and understand/follow the corporate Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action policies and practices.


  • Using tact and diplomacy, may question existing methodology
  • Under authority of senior management, may assist with the development and recommendations for implementation innovative concepts to improve upon existing processes
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Must perform other duties as assigned
