Work Hours:

  • 40+ per week
  • Office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay Rate:

  • Monthly Base + Commission

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business/Marketing/Communications) desired; or High School diploma or GED plus 2-5 years office experience; or,
    Equivalent training and experience in the insurance industry
    Wyoming Health Insurance license (within 3 months of hire)
    Two years of Sales experience preferred
    Limited Travel – may work inside and outside of office
    Word processing, software/database application,
    telephone, PC, organizational skills

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Account Executive renews and provides service to groups, sells non-group products and provides support to the District Managers as directed by the Sales Manager. Responsible for maintaining the prospect database for assigned territories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Works towards quality initiatives.
  2. Delivers group renewals and group compliance paperwork as required.
  3. Provides service to assigned groups as needed.
  4. Sells non-group & Medicare products.
  5. Develops and maintains a prospect database.
  6. Assists sales personnel as directed.
  7. Attends training programs and meetings as required.

Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY:

The Account Executive must have excellent communication skills, and present a professional image to the public. Good presentation skills and an in-depth knowledge of our group and individual products are essential. Must be comfortable working with business owners, managers, and other key decision-makers. This individual must possess good organizational and time management skills, and must be capable of working with minimal direct supervision. A good working knowledge of word processing and database software applications is necessary, along with attention to detail. An insurance license is required. Valid driver’s license required.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, OR FORMAL TRAINING:

  • A college degree or equivalent training and experience in the insurance industry are desired.
  • Must be currently licensed to sell health insurance in Wyoming, or able to obtain within 3 months.
  • Current valid driver’s license may be required.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years similar work experience preferred.

MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

Personal computer and associated word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Works both inside and outside of an office. Frequent on-site visits to groups. Some out of town travel by automobile required. The ability to handle occasionally stressful situations is also required.
