  • 40+ per week
  • Office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in computer science (or related field) and 4 years experience managing employees. Specialized training on Microsoft Active Directory, Office suite, or PC hardware maintenance would be preferred. Current valid driver’s license may be required.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Under limited supervision, control all personnel and functions related to computer operations, local area network administration, data base administration, tele-communications, computer equipment installation and wiring, and computer equipment maintenance, and deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works towards quality initiatives.
  • Supervise technical services staff and computer operators
  • Oversee licensing on software and hardware
  • Oversee local area network workstations and physical connections.
  • Oversee anti-virus anti-malware server and client software
  • Oversee telephone system and associated PCs
  • Oversee corporate data communication lines (voice, data)
  • Oversee local area network operating system software, and all network application software, security and access rights.
  • Monitor compliance standards for patch management for servers and client software.
  • Maintain all personal computer hardware, attached devices, and licenses.

  • Maintain SOC2 compliance for the department.
  • Lead weekly staff meetings to ensure projects are timely and accurate.

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all appropriate documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist user departments in defining computer hardware and software needs.
  • Work with host site support personnel to maintain remote applications for contracted applications.
  • Maintain computer systems security as defined by corporate policy.
  • Work with host site, support personnel to maintain remote applications for claims processing, and other vendor software applications and services.
  • Communicate with supervisor, through weekly and special reports, to ensure all associated problems and processing requirements and identified in a timely manner.
  • Analyze performance of all associated computer equipment, develop future growth requirements.
  • Analyze personnel technical education requirements.
  • Performance evaluation of supervised personnel.
  • Attend training as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

  • Supervises approximately 5-6 personnel

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY:

Requires knowledge of network operating system, VOIP, and associated application software including Microsoft Office and Outlook, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows and Windows Server Operating systems and, general communication protocol. Programming skills to allow for modification of packaged software startup characteristics, macros, PowerShell, and ability to create custom scripts. Diagnostic capabilities for all associated hardware, software, and communication lines. Good verbal and written communication skills.

EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge and experience in a majority of the areas of responsibility is preferred.

Network, laser, and line printers.
Physical and virtual computers.
Physical and virtual servers.
Fiber and Ethernet network.
Wide variety of cables, connectors, and associated tools

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Able to lift 50 pounds or more, reach and work above head, bend and crawl to access wiring under desks, manual dexterity to allow for working with personal computer internal components and cable connectors.
